Right to object

The right to object or oppose is the right of a data subject to ask a company or controller to stop processing the data subject’s personal data. This is done through a formal request. Generally, if the request is valid, it must be acknowledged and complied with by the controller/respondent company in a certain time frame. Under the GDPR, the right to object is found in Article 21.
